Friday November 1st Cod/Pollock (and maybe tuna) with Captain Willy

For these trips you'll be joining captain Willy Hatch of Machaca Charters for an epic adventure east of the Cape in search of cod and pollock. 

Plus a bonus, captain Willy will even spend a few hours at the start of these trips in search of bluefin tuna!

These trips will be a great opportunity to get offshore and catch some delicious groundfish with one of Cape Cod's most renown charter captains. Captain Willy is highly regarded as an expert when it comes to fishing the Cape & Islands, as well as in other fisheries up and down the East Coast and even in Latin America.

And as mentioned above, since you'll be fishing the rich waters east of Chatham where tuna often roam, it only makes sense to also give tuna a shot before switching over to the main target species of cod and pollock.

Willy's boat, the Machaca is a 36 ft BHM which was totally rebuilt in 2014 with a new 400 hp cummins motor.  This is a true lobsterboat and a very stable fishing platform for the offshore waters.

The Machaca is outfitted with top of the line fishing tackle and new Simrad electronics. The boat has a current USCG commercial safety inspection for 100 miles plus, and all safety equipment.

Here are the details:

• Max number of anglers: 6
• Trip length: 12 hours
• Trip time: Around sunrise (exact time will be emailed to you 24hrs in advance)
• Port of departure: Falmouth Harbor
• Area fished: the offshore waters east of Chatham
• Techniques used: Likely trolling or live bait for tuna at the start, and then jigging the bottom or bait fishing the bottom for cod and pollock.
• Gear and tackle will be provided, but you're free to bring your own.
• There is a bathroom on Willy's boat.
• For these cod and pollock trips, a cash tip of around $60-$90/person is perfectly sufficient.

Refund/cancellation policy
If the trip is cancelled due to bad weather, or for any other reason, then you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel your reservation for some other reason, and if you are able to let me know with at least 7 days notice, then I will be able to offer you a full refund with no questions asked.

If it's less than 7 days notice, then I will do my best to find someone who can take your spot, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to. If I'm successful with finding a replacement, then I can give you a full refund. Of course if you're able to find someone who can take your spot, then that works too.
