Why This Trip is Special
Striped bass are Cape Cod's most iconic saltwater fish — and June is one of the best months of the year to chase them. They're aggressive, they get big, and when you find them, the fishing can be absolutely electric.
For these trips, you'll be fishing with Captain Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters aboard his 28' Whitewater center console with brand new twin Yamaha outboards. Tyler knows Cape waters better than almost anyone, and his ability to put anglers on fish — even when conditions aren't ideal — has made him one of the most sought-after MFCC group trip captains.
Tyler's preferred fishing grounds for these June trips are the Monomoy Rips, launching from Smuggler's Beach Boat and Beach Access in South Yarmouth (Bass River). If weather or fishing conditions push him elsewhere, Tyler will fish Cape Cod Bay from Sesuit Harbor in Dennis or Plymouth Harbor instead. Either way, you're in good hands.
What Makes This Trip Different:
✓ 28' Whitewater center console with brand new twin Yamaha outboards — fast, safe, and built for serious fishing
✓ Small group (4 angler max) — more deck space, more attention, more fish
✓ All quality spinning gear provided — just show up ready to fish
✓ Casting lures preferred — active, engaging fishing from start to finish
✓ Bonus species possible — bluefish, bonito, and black sea bass sometimes make appearances
✓ Fly fishing welcome — bring your fly rod if you want to give it a try
Why Book Through MFCC?

What You'll Experience
These June striper trips are built around one of the Cape's most exciting fishing destinations — the Monomoy Rips. When the current is running and the stripers are stacked up, it can be some of the most thrilling light-tackle fishing the Cape has to offer.
Captain Tyler prefers casting lures, which keeps things active and engaging for everyone on board. If live bait is the better play on a given day, he'll pivot accordingly — his priority is always putting you on fish.
You'll fish for striped bass using quality spinning rods and reels (provided), working through the rips and structure that Tyler knows from years of experience. Bluefish, bonito, and black sea bass may also make an appearance — a nice bonus on top of the striper action.
Beyond the fishing itself, you'll learn a ton. Watching Tyler work — how he reads the water, positions the boat, and adjusts his approach — is genuinely educational. Whether you're new to striper fishing or a seasoned angler, you'll come away with knowledge that's hard to get anywhere else.
