Friday October 6th - Tautog (and maybe some albies)

Those onboard this trip will fish for tautog with a crew from MFCC and Capt. Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters aboard his 28'  Whitewater center console boat. 

Tautog are delicious and they are amazing fighters! During this trip you will be fishing with light spinning rods and green crabs for bait. Plus you'll have a great chance of going home with a bag full of delicious tautog fillets!

Plus if the "fish gods" cooperate, then captain Tyler might also be able to put you onto some albies towards the end of the trip.

Here are the details:

• Price: $230/person
• Max number of anglers: 5 (plus captain Tyler)
• Trip length: 5 hours
• Trip time: Around sunrise (exact time will be emailed to you 24hrs in advance)
• Port of departure: Taylor's Point in Bourne or Falmouth Harbor (subject to change based on weather)
• Area fished: Buzzard's Bay or Elizabeth Islands
• Techniques used: anchoring over rock piles, fishing with light spinning rods and jigs tipped with green crabs
• Gear and tackle will be provided
• Please dress warm and wear sturdy sneakers or boots

*Please know the trip will sail in less than ideal weather conditions, but that you will not go out if the weather is unsafe. If the trip is cancelled due to weather, then you will receive a refund. Please understand that due to the logistics of organizing these trips, we are not able to offer refunds if you cancel your reservation less than one week in advance, or if you do not show up the morning of your trip.
